Transmission Type

Also known as gearbox, auto vs manual.

Transmission type — automatic (AT), continuously variable (CVT), manual (MT), or dual-clutch (DCT) — affects both driving feel and resale. In the UAE, automatic transmissions dominate (>95% of listings); manual versions of mass-market models actually trade at a discount because of limited buyer pool, while manual sports cars (911, M-cars, Mustangs) command a premium.
