Mileage Bucket
Also known as mileage band, odometer bucket.
Mileage buckets group cars by kilometres-on-the-odometer into discrete tiers (e.g. 0–30k, 30–60k, 60–100k, 100k+) so the engine can compute a stable median within each tier instead of curve-fitting to noisy point estimates. A car's bucket is one of the strongest single inputs to its fair-market price.
