Drivetrain (FWD / RWD / AWD / 4WD)

Also known as 4WD, AWD, RWD, FWD, drive type.

Drivetrain refers to which wheels receive engine power: front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel drive (RWD), all-wheel drive (AWD), or four-wheel drive (4WD). In the UAE, 4WD body-on-frame SUVs (Land Cruiser, Patrol) command large resale premiums because of dune-driving demand. AWD luxury sedans command modest premiums; FWD economy cars sell at parity with the market.
